Wounds

Now providing Wound, Ostomy & Continence nursing in the home.

Assessment of etiologic factors, wound status and nutritional status
Perform ABI studies to determine plausibility of compression therapy
Patient, family and/or caregiver education
Recommendations regarding the correction of etiologic factors
Counsel regarding appropriate topical therapy for wounds

Prophylactic foot and nail care for patients with diabetes and arterial disease in lower extremities

Ostomy

Pre-operative education and stoma marking in the patient’s home environment to prepare the patient for self care following ostomy surgery
Assessment of stoma function, pouching system, peristomal skin status and patient’s adaptation status
Recommendations regarding ostomy care and management, nutritional needs, peristomal skin care, and prevention & management of peristomal complications
Patient, family and caregiver education

Continence

Recommendations regarding dietary & fluid management
Programs for bladder retraining, intermittent catheterization, pelvic muscle exercising and containment measures
