Ostomy

Pre-operative education and stoma marking in the patient’s home environment to prepare the patient for self care following ostomy surgery Assessment of stoma function, pouching system, peristomal skin status and patient’s adaptation status Recommendations regarding ostomy care and management, nutritional needs, peristomal skin care and prevention, & management of peristomal complications Patient, family and caregiver education

Continence

Assessment of etiological factors & incontinence patterns Recommendations regarding dietary & fluid management Programs for bladder retraining, intermittent catheterization, pelvic muscle exercising and containment measures Patient, family and caregiver education
